Vista freezes at windows logo?

Or... just get a linux liveCD (linux mint is awesome) and use that to save your files to and external HD and then completely re-ins†all window, put the disk in and you should have your files back. It should work because linux is UNIX based stopping DOS (ALL THE WINDOWS SYSTEMS EVER) viruses from working on it. Or you could just go and install linux instead of windows for part 2...
